The Grand Theft Auto V panel at NYCC was a gathering of passionate fans and the amazing motion capture actors: Ned Luke who plays Michael, Shawn "Solo" Fonteno who plays Franklin and Steven Ogg who plays Trevor. The panel naturally began with a bang, as Ogg threw T-shirts into the audience, riling them up for handouts and autographs for a good several minu
The moments of awe that the first-person mode demonstrate (like the flying segments) are constantly overshadowed by an obstructive and pointless statement. As the fanmade mods have shown us, first-person GTA is a novelty, a fleeting distraction that you’ll use for five minutes, then realize that it was just better the old way. Re-releasing GTA V barely a year after release is already a questionable move, but using something so disposable and out of place as a selling point is the real issue at hand. And yes, it’s optional. I understand that, [https://gta5play.com/ Gta5Play.Com] but why treat this as a game-changer? GTA V on PS4 and Xbox One will sell, likely very well, but not because of the first-person mode. GTA V’s first-person mode is a pointless addition that does more to shamelessly lure in FPS fans than deliver any substantial inclusions to what Grand Theft Auto is about.

When both of these incidents took place, there was controversy. Debate ensued with two sides each offering up different points and demanding equal validity. But Sony has been met with almost universal admonishment after pulling The Interview. A quick search of The Interview mentions on Twitter reveals a starkly one-sided picture. A tweet by Judd Apatow (long-time associate of Rogen's) calling the move by Sony "disgraceful" was retweeted more than 5 thousand times in 11 hours.

Later on, Luke and Fonteno reinforced the fact that the gig required large amounts of imagination because other than the occasional prop, there was nothing in the room. Ogg adds that the script for GTA V is brilliant and that it could have easily been 3500 pa

Sure, with the debut of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we've seen plenty of games loosely based on their big screen counterparts (e.g., Iron Man , Thor : God of Thunder, Captain America : Super Soldier, etc.). Most would agree, however, such iterations have been little more than hackneyed cash grabs to coincide with and supplement the movies. It's a shame, too, since many of the Marvel characters and their abilities could lend themselves to entertaining video game exploration. Not the least of which includes Iron Man. With his impressive stock of armored suits - all with different capabilities, weapons, and purposes (see: the Hulk Buster ) - and a rogues gallery only briefly tapped into onscreen, Tony Stark is ripe for his own blockbuster video game franchise, one that could rival Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham ser

"After many months of designing, testing, rewriting and re-testing, we settled on the four-player structure that you will experience in the game. It took a ton of work from our programmers and mission designers to make it work at the level we were happy wi

At launch, there will be five separate heists, comprised of at least 20 missions. Heists will, of course, be replayable, allowing players to try out the different roles and maybe, just maybe, understand what it's like to be the getaway dri

After the main questions, there was a Q&A session with the fans doling out the questions. One question asked the actors if they could pick any other character from any game to voice, who would they choose. Fonteno, unsurprisingly, would voice CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas . He even hinted at a future event with CJ and Franklin, but the details remain a mystery. Ogg wants to voice Mario from the Super Mario Bros. series. Luke, answering in true Trevor fashion, would play the Blue Ghost from Pac

Complete with flight capabilities and repulsor beams, the mod does far more than provide players an Iron Man Mark III skin; it lets players become Iron Man and utilize some of his signature weaponized powers. These include the ability to hover a few feet above the ground, rocket punch enemies and vehicles with ease, soar through the air at a great speed using both glove and boot rockets, and fire rocket blasts from his chest reactor. One of the only faculties really missing in the mod, aside from Tony Stark's silver-tongued wit and irresistible charm, is the character's shoulder-mounted guns and flares - oh, and of course, Jar

But saying that this dimension is "a game-changer" is overzealous. The first-person perspective in Grand Theft Auto V constantly evokes an aura of novelty. It doesn’t fit in. Grand Theft Auto V, and the Grand Theft Auto series in general, was never built for first-person. Many of the actions benefit from a more peripheral viewpoint, as you can attackers easier and see a nearby getaway vehicle without fiddling around with the camera too much. Firefights are not the focus of GTA, nor are the driving segments. Grand Theft Auto’s appeal has always been the open-world. Moving around a city, launching off a ramp, shooting enemies, and making a clean getaway are not that valuable on their own, but the cohesion between these elements is what make GTA into what it is. The first-person perspective disjoints that synergy; it frames the firefights and vehicles as the most core elements, when they’ve only been pieces of a bigger puzzle.
